Not difficult at all. a couple of electrical connections and a couple of bolts and your done. the hardest part would be working under the car. go to autozone.com for free repair guides and specific info on how to replace your starter. remember to disconnect the negative battery terminal first

Testimonial: "Thanks again. Your directions were right on the money. Other than getting greasy, it was as easy as you said it was. You're the bomb!"

How difficult is replacing a starter on the 2003 ford taurus

Difficulty is dependant on the following factors. 1) your experience 2) the location of the car when work is done e.g. yard/shop 3) whether you can LIFT the car, (as the starter will come out the bottom of the engine compartment). 4) what tools you have available and finally how motivated you are to complete the work. Step by step instructions can be obtained here.

How do u lower the idle on a 1998 ford taurs

A 1998 Ford Taurus has the idle controlled by the ECM. The ECM analyzes data from the systems sensors and determines how much air and fuel the engine needs to run at the desired speed. If the car is idling higher than it normally does then there is a problem with a component of the engine or it's control system or there may be something foreign to the system causing the problem, either way you cannot manually adjust the idle and you are most likely going to have to have a mechanic or someone with mechanical skills and diagnostic tools, read the trouble codes or datastream to narrow the problem down.
