The other turn signals front and rear work ok? Disconnect right turn signal, with that signal turned on, use a test lite on the white wire with lite blue tracer, does the test lite pulse?
Does the right turn indicator on the dash pulse on and off?
Did you check the fuses for the turn lights? Do the
parking lights work? If the parking lights work then you probably have a
problem either in the switch or in turn signal module thing.
The burned out bulb is what might be causing it not to blink... if one bulb is burned out you gotta replace it, make no difference if front or back, the left blinker will not work if the left front or rear bulb is bad.
same with the right side. if the front right or rear right turn signal
light is burned out it will not work.....get replacing the bulbs.Hope this solves your problem. Please rate me if my solution helped you.
If the right flasher is working and the left flasher is not, that should be a burned out light bulb, either front or rear. (outside) If you will wait until it is dark, it is easier to diagnose. After dark, turn on the right turn signal, then look carefully at the brightness of the front and the brightness of the rear turn signal. Now, turn on the left, and again observe the brightness of each. One of the bulbs should be out, or not as bright as the other side. That is the bulb you will need to replace.
i had this same problem and i alleviated it by replacing the column switch which isnt an easy task and I used a manual (which can be obtained at the library for free or you can buy one at your loccal book or auto parts shop)
on an older car this woul dsimply mean that the turn signal flasher was burned out for that side. today its more complex. the turn signal flasher is a series of resistors and timer modules located in the workings of the body control module. This can be a simple problem with a shorted line, or a faultly turn switch or something as complex as needing a new body control module. This is something that needs to be repaired by a quality automotive mechnican with an electrical backround, and unfortunatley unless your in the nyc area i have none to suggest to you.
your socket may not be grounded properly, I have seen this before, and the simplest way to fix is change the socket with a new one.Not another used one it may also be bad.
