this is a complex car, and engines. Just 1 code? and no pendings? A DIESEL engine , and in USA , are ya> or in Canada?
the shop manual for all complex cars, is a must have.
P2 codes are factory codes, unique to only Suzuki , so use their books. alldata dot com has it.
"Particulate Trap Efficiency Below Threshold Malfunction " but cleaning it , is not the only way to fix it. the manual covers this, and how the test works and what can make it fail, simple swaps or cleans dont always work. RTM please.
Most likely your emergency fuel pump shut-off switch engaged. You'll need to check the owner's manual or call a dealer to locate the reset for it. Once it is reset you should be good to go.
yOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THE COMPUTER SCANNED FOR CODES, WHEN EVER THE COMPUTER SEES A PROBLEM IT TURNS ON THE LIGHT AND STORES A CDOE, THE CODE WILL TELL YOU WHAT PART OF THE SYSTEM IS FAILING, ALSO IS THIS UNDER THE WARRANTY?, HAVE THE CODES READ AND THEN GO FROM THERE, THIS MAY BE A BAD SENSOR OR A CONNECTION AT AN INJECTOR, HOPE THIS HELPS,
It means there is a fault stored in the computer memory that needs to be identified and fixed.
Have the code read or take it to advance auto and they will lend you the reader so you can plug into the diagnostic port under the dash and read the code.
The code reader can then be used to reset the check engine light and turn it off.
