Diagram where are spark plugs in 2004 Chrysler Pacifica and how to replace them

They are under the coil packs. The rear three can be replaced easily with a male 25 torx socket and a 5/8 plug socket. However, the front 3 require removing the air intake plenum first. There are several sensors that need to be unplugged. Also the throttle linkage needs to be unhooked. Several bolts around the edge of the plenum that hold the oil fill, dipstick, support bracket, etc. Also the intake hose clamp needs to be removed. Finally there are seven bolts that hold the plenum to the intake. These 7 bolts have loctite on them that needs to be cleaned off and new applied during installation. Take your time and the plenum comes off easily. Be especially careful not to drop anything down the intake once the plenum is removed. The good news, Chrysler says 70,000 between changes so you don't have to do it very often.

Here is a link to dl the manual as I was unable to find a diagram. Hope this helps some.

How do you access the rear spark plugs on a 2004 Sante Fe 6cyl?

You have to remove the intake plenum to access the spark plugs. That's the piece that sticks up and completely covers the back side when looking from the front. If you have fairly average car repair skills, it isn't all that hard but does take a lot longer than a normal spark plug change-out. If you remove the plenum and do this job yourself, you MUST replace the intake plenum gasket or you will end up with a bad vacuum leak. I strongly recommend you refer to a maintenance manual if you attempt this procedure. There is a lot of stuff attached to the plenum that has to be removed.

Do i have to take the intake off to change the spark plugs

You did not mention which engine you have, but YES, it is necessary to remove the upper intake plenum to replace the spark plugs on the rear bank of most Toyota V-6 Engines. This is why many tune-ups are as expensive as they are...The old days of getting a 6 Cyl tune-up for $59.99 are long gone...

How do you change rear spark plugs on 1998 toyota v-6 looks like its impossible

You can actually squeeze your hand and a Spark plug socket back there and extract the plugs. If your limbs are on the large side you will have to remove the upper intake plenum to get to the plugs.

Changing the spark plugs on a 2000 forerunner

the upper intake plenum...you will have to remove the plenum to access the spark plugs...usually you are able to unbolt the plenum only and disconnect the front connectors and/or vacuum lines. and tilt the plenum up and out of the way to access the plugs... take care when doing this you can damage the engine if not careful. make sure you get a new intake plenum gasket...as well as the valve cover gaskets...the rubber rings that seal the spark plug tubes from oil tend to leak causing a misfire. you already have to pull the plenum might as well do the valve cover gasket while you are so far in it.

Rear valve cover removal for 94 camry se v6

The best way to remove the rear valve cover is to remove the intake plenum. There is really no other way to do it. It is not a hard job, removing the intake plenum, but, trying to tackle the rear cover without taking off the plenum is almost impossible. If he does remove the plenum, make sure he replaces the plenum gasket. Hope this helps.

2000 Sienna Change Plugs and Timing Belt

Ijust did the spark plugs and believe me the front ones are piece of cake, but the rear ones, let me tell you, if you know about mechanics, go for it. There is alot of stuff to remove, including the intake plenum, and those spark plug wires casing that is another story. My best advise is if you have a couple of hundred dollars, that is your best choice. As far as the timing belt goes, pay a car shop, there is probably twice or three times more work involved than changing the spark plugs. siennas were designed to be worked on once or twice every five years (major work of course).

I hope this doesn't dissapoint you

Good luck mate
