This vehicle should have 2 flasher relays one that operates the emergency flashers and one operating the turn signals.Easiest way to locate these would be to turn the emergency flashers on and listen to where the clicking is coming from usually the flasher are pretty close to each other.Once you find the flasher unit you can swap the flasher unit that is working with the one that is not and if the turn signals work after that you will need to purchase another flasher relay.

Testimonial: "dang they made it almost imposible to find the other relay it was tucked over by the ac vent on driver door wow thanks you saved me a headache thanx"

The bulbs first thing i would check. If not the bulbs would use a test light to check the sockets in the back to make sure they are getting power.

I have a 1998 Lincoln carier towncar and I have blinking sounds and the marker lights work but not the blinkers

You hear a clicking sound but none os the turn signals work, neither front, rear or dash indicators? Check the underdash fuse panel to see if it is the flasher that is clicking. There needs to be some resistance in the flasher to make it work so some light should be working. Do the emergency flashers work? They use the same bulbs but a different flasher. Both systems go through the turn signal switch, Move the emergency flasher lever in and out several times to make sure there is a good connection. Check to see if current 12 volts are getting to the signal bulbs.

There should two separate bulbs for marker and blinker. It sounds like a bulb is burnt out, bad ground, melted socket or a wiring anomaly. Are you certain it's supposed to have 57 series dual element bulbs for blinker and markers?

Turn signal light right flash

flasher/blinker is busted. this is located under your dash board. remove steering column cover, turn on LEFT turn signal (yes, the one that is working), then you will hear a clicking sound. locate the relay that causes the sound. there you can see 2 relays (one for LEFT, other one for RIGHT turn),replace busted one.

Turn signals blin continually

There is only a few things that can cause blinkers to blink continually, meaning if your saying they wont shut off, Normally it is the blinker flasher or a fuse. Sometimes it can be in the blinker switch itself. I first would check the flasher, and turn signl fuse. If the blinker stays on and does not flash, still can be bad flasher or fuse or a ground problem, You would then have to check the wires around area where there contact to the tail light blinkers and front blinkers. But first start as said earlier with checking flasher fuse, switch and fuse. Mike

ok, the dash does not show the blinker is on, did you check the front and back to see if any of the turn signals were on, but not blinking? Also the side marker lights should light up if the turn signals aren't working, do they? Let me know. Next check the fuse box, it's on the driver side, under the dashboard. The fuses will be labeled, check the fuse for the turn signals.
Check to see if it"s blown. If it is, or you aren't sure, replace it with one of the same amperage (the # of amps is on the fuse). The fuses can just be pulled out to check them. If you still don't have working blinkers, go back to the fuse block under the dash. There are 2 round canister shaped units plugged into the fuse block. One of them is the turn signal flasher. They are about the diameter of a quarter, and a bit over an inch thick. If your emergency flashers are working, unplug one of the flashers. If they don't work after unplugging one, then you just unplugged the emergency flasher, so the other one is the turn signal flasher. Replace with a new one, identical to the old one. Let me know when you have followed all these instructions and what happens. countrycurt0

Blinkers not working

Did you check the bulbs? If one bulb is burned out, the blinkers won't word on that side. You could have one bulb burned out on each side. Start the car, put left signal on. Check front and back lights. Is one light on but not blinking? If that's the case, the light that's not on at all is burned out and has broken the circuit so the good light stays on and won't blink. Check the other side. You also have a 'flasher' , actually 2. One for emergency flashers, one for the turn signals. It could be that the turn signal flasher is shot. You just have to unplug it to remove. It's probably located near the fuses. good luck countrycurt0
