2001 chrysler town country limited. Check engine light is on with a code P740. transmission shifts very well .What is up with this code and what needs to be replaced? also the ac is cold on the passenger side. warm on the drivers side.

You can purchase a basic scanner at AutoZone for about $52, it will do basic code reading and you can also erase the light yourself. As for the A/C you might be able to close the door yourself but you will have to take part of your lower dash apart. Go to a A/C shop and talk to them to try to get some specialized solutions to that problem. Just bought a 2001 T/C Limited in early july 2011 with 88,000 miles and after 3000 miles it has the exact same two problems. Makes you wonder doesn't it !
