Starter on 1998 lincoln continental

It's going to be located under the car next to the transmission. It looks like this: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/shop_years/lincoln-continental-starter-1998.html

This auto mech does a lot of videos and even though it's not your car, you can understand the process better of replacing a starter.

Your Continental is equipped with a TRANSAXLE, and I can think of four different solenoids, not including the internal shift solenoids, associated with the transaxle.

Interior light will not go off

one of the door switches is sticking take one out at a time normally start with the driver side disconnect the battery on the negative side and then take the switch out and put a little oil ( WD-40 or some oil similar to that) because the switches could be rusty or bad causing this problem but you can take out the dome light bulb until you can get the problem fixed
