No cold air when ac is on. Loud noise when turned off

If you are not experienced servicing auto air conditioners, take your car to a mechanic. Way too complicated for this type of forum. You MIGHT need a charge of coolant, possibly the control switch went bad, the drive belt broke so the engine can't run the unit but the solenoid is kicking in and out in attempts, or......??

My 2007 Town and Country touring 3.8L is making a noise and gets louder when put into gear at a idle but cannot hear while I'm driving just stopped and idling?

if the noise started after the belt replacement, check the belt tensioner. They are notorious for seizing at the pivot, especially after belt replacement. Hope this helps.

2001 Chrysler Town and Country, Air conditioner gets cold on passenger side but not on drivers side.

I am having the same issue. Did you figure out the problem? We took out my dash and the doors and actuators seem to be working. Put it on recirc and it eventually cools down.

2002 Chrysler Town & Country air conditioner only blows out hot air. Filled it with freon, but did not help. What else could be wrong with it?

How do you know it needed freon, without gauges its hard to know, most people add freon because its not cold and that may not be the problem, in turn they cause more damage to the system, these vans are famous for leaks.check all the fuses, then jump the low preasure cycling switch and see if compressor truns on,youll need to look at the clutch to see it turn, then the next step is to check the lowside and highside preasures,

Air conditioner in 2000 town and country van is producing hot air...not just outside air temp, but hotter air than outside. freon is o.k., compressor is working, but switches on dashboard seem to not...

Sure the AC is working? If so, the suction line to the compressor should be nice and cold to the touch and sweating. If that checks out, and the fan is working, then the issue has to be with the device/switch that directs the cold air from the evaporator to your dash vents. That could be a PIA because it might just be inside the dashboard.

Air conditioner is not blowing cold air,

What pressure did you have? And Is the front of the compressor turning when you have this pressure. Also feel the two lines going to the compressor, one should be hot and one should be cold.
