Hi!!
The person that changed the oil should have resetted the light.
Just drive to an AutoZone store, ask for somebody to check your vehicle computer codes, once they check them up, ask them to reset the change oil soon light, they would do this at no charge. This is a free service they offered to all their customers.

Resetting "oil change required" message on 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis.
You gotta be quick, but you can do this yourself. Ignore the owners\' manual instructions. They are totall irrelevant. Shame on Ford!!
1. Hit setup button; Message says "Press select to begin system check"
2. Hit select; Message: "oil life (XXX%). Hold reset if new oil".
{note:. The XXX could be any percent from 0 to 100. If you have waited until the "Oil change required" message is coming on every time you start the car, the XXX will be 0%. If you are just enquiring how soon an oil change is required, it may say, for example, 20% which means an oil change is due fairly soon.}
3. Immediately hit and hold Reset button for three seconds.
If you don\'t hit reset quickly, messages like "washer fluid OK" etc keep appearing; and you have to begin the procedure all over. It took me about six tries before I got quick enough on the reset and hold move before the washer fluid message came up.
What I don\'t know is how many miles does 100% mean. If the computer is programmed to a 3000 mile oil change cycle, then when I do a systems check and it says 10%, that would mean an oil change is due (according to the car computer) in 10% of 3000, or in 300 miles.
That seems quite arbitrary, since I am using a high quality synthetic motor oil, and expect to get 6000 miles between oil changes. So my question is, How do I convince the car\'s computer to agree that when I reset after an oil change, I don\'t want to be pestered by the readout saying that an "Oil Change is Required".
Any ideas out there?
$. Press select-a few systems will start cycling on the display. The first one says "press rese for oil
