If the antifreeze is leaking out behind the exhaust manifold then i would say you have a freeze plug leaking . The plug is located on the sides of the engine block. They can be a real job to get out and replace. If you see the leak in the location i described then i would take it to a repair shop for repairs. Have them to inspect all the freeze plugs for damage. Hope this will help you.

1999 buick century, location of the freeze plugs on the heads. once the car warms up there is a coolant leak under the thermostat housing and i am not sure where the leak is.

freeze plugs are normally on the sides of the engines, check to see if hose connected to thermostat housing is not leaking, and also check to see if coolant is coming from the water pump.

My `95 Buick Century V-6 overheating. I found the problem to be a leaking freeze plug on the front head, behind the water pump. How can I get at this plug to replace it?

There are many radiator leak stop products that will seal the leak without having to replace the freeze plug. It is the poor mans repair.

Anti freeze leak on top of my 1996 buick century v-6

96 buick century leaking anti freeze from timeing cover

You will need to remove the timing cover and replace the gasket set. it is the timing cover gasket that is leaking and yes it is fairly common, once fixed it should not reoccur. It is not a horribly expensive repair, but mine on a 96 regal cost about $200 to have replaced. The decision is up to you as to whether it is worth it, based on your vehicles miles, and condition.

My 1996 buick century is leaking water from the engine...on the right side of the engine...i fill up the radiator with water and two days later its starts overheating...i changed the water pump so i know...

Could be a hose..
When you pull into your drive way - when it is hot - shut it off - this is the best time to look for the leaks because after you shut it of the presure builds a bit.. Check the hoses..
Could be the water pump...
ould be a freeze plug gone bad..

Good luck !
