Check propper fluid specs, replace filter inside pan, make sure you have dex 3 or greater compatible fluid, make sure fluid is not burnt, some times when you flush the system, the internal bands have deposits that stick to them allowing them not to slip. when running a flush these deposits can rub off meaning extensive wear on your bands, easy solution, don't bag drive your ****
