Check the fuse in the fuse box : either under the dash, glove compartment. Also, check for any relays under the hood.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

On a 2005 Jeep Liberty, what is the fuse number for rear tail lights? No longer have manual.

USA car, must we guess, #1 fact to know?
so front parks work and rear parks(called tails wrong) only rear bad and side parks good? cars can have 10 parking lamps. do they all fail., a key fact to know for what's wrong.
is real license lamp dead too (3 park rear)
I have KJ jeep service manual open now, (PDF) owned .
Daytime Running Lights - If Equipped<<< got this????? DRL
the uses guide is free from jeep 24/7, no need to work blind. ever.
causes for rear dead
  • BCM failing
  • fuse 9 and 7 blown ,7 is left, so both are not blown.
  • park relay bad.
  • g304 ground bad,
say no to all 4
#5 is 2 bad lamps, buy them put them in.
g304 bad kills lots of lamps rear os is not that.

not told at all
engine OK and drives perfect and head lamps work ,high and low beams.
nor if front parks works
no if DRL is on the car (an options)
does heater blower work//
does radio work,
do dome lamps work doors open.
does the IP cluster work right.?
4 turn sigals all work and hazards.
stop lamps work
reverse lamps work.

if all works , but rears
then fuses are not blown
BCM must be good, or the park relay dies and all parks fail not just rear.
there rear lamps are both burned out or the REAR G304 ground is bad.
but g304 runs most things on rear,so it can not be bad.
so 2 lamps burned out, we test the lamps now.
not telling all good and bad, the answer is way too long
electrics are a complex tree structure.

2005 Jeep Liberty Limited Passenger tail light out. Replaced bulb, socket, entire lens. Both break lights come on. Where does it get 12 V from? Which wire color? Help!

In the diagram the top wire is voltage and the bottom wire is ground. You can use a test light to check both voltage and ground. Do the park lamps in the front, work? Both front and rear get voltage from the same source.

How do i change the brake light on jeep liberty 2006?

1) You will need to open the rear swing door.

2) On the inside jam there are two torx headed screws (T-15's if I remember correctly).

3) Unscrew the two torx screws.

4) The light is now held by two mounting tabs (small spherical headed plastic sets that go through a rubber grommet).

5) You will need to pry the light casing off (easy pressure with a good size flat head screw driver will do the trick).

6) The light bulbs are twist mount settings inside the light casing.

7) Twist out the mount setting, change the bulbs, and reset the light mountings.

8) To put the light casing push the light casing back on and put in the screws. Everything else will work in reverse when it comes to assembling the whole unit.

How do i replace the fog lamp on a 2005 jeep liberty

is it the bulb or whole light assembly. Both are easy, the bulb has a slotted lock. turn the bulb to the left and it should come out. The assembly, under the front bumper, look at the light housing. There should be 2-4 small nuts mounting it to the surrounding body, once these are removed it will come out the backside.

The two back brake lights went out at the same time but the brake light on top of the rear window still works, would the problem be the bulbs or a fuse? 2005 Jeep Liberty

Both of my brakelights have gone out on my 2005 jeep liberty. The problem is the brakelight socket. I bought replacement socket from the dealership for about $8 each. They are wireless and easy to replace. They sit on a circuit monted to the back of the tailight. The dealership will need your vin # as there are different types of sockets for the liberty.

Check fuses inside and underhood, as it's not uncommon for them to be on their own fuse(s)
