I have a 2009 Caliber. Lately as I excelarate, this light on the dash that has two lines and looks like lightening bolt comes on and causes the car to not excelarate as it should. The car drives
less than 2 miles an hour when this happens. Even if I push the paddle to the floor, it still rides
very slow. What does this light mean? Please advise.

I believe that is your electronic throttle control light, it causes your car to go into what is called "limp mode" where no matter how hard you accelerate or press the gas it maxes out your speed at 40 mph.

It just turned on for me as well, it could be an array of issues from a broken cable, or speed sensor, or even the throttle position sensor. I recommend taking it to a shop to see it. Also if you are getting any check engine lights which is the orange light that looks like an engine get a obd2 reader or go to any aamco or autozone to have the check engine light read to you for free.

2011 Dodge Caliber, turns over, but won't start. Check engine & red lightening bolt lights are on. Changed plugs. Didn't help. Car has 75 on it, and gas tank is full. Any ideas?

Have the onboard computer checked and extract the code(s) that set the check engine light. There are a number of things that can cause your problem and the code(s) may help narrow it down. Possible items are the crankshaft sensor, the camshaft sensor, and the fuel pump, as well as the onboard computer itself.

On my 07 dodge caliber a lightening bolt appeared between 2 lines and the check engine light came on but everything ran fine. Please advise. Thank you

Have a repair shop check for codes every time
any light comes on your dash

Then you know if any systems have a fault & if you
should continue to use it prior to repairs

I've got a 2008 caliber srt4 and a red warning

You need to have the computer scanned. It sounds like you went into limp mode and need to find the source of the fault.

When trying to start the car all I hear is a click. There is a light on the dash that as two lines with a lightening bolt in the center.

That dash symbol I believe refers to the solenoid on the starter motor. If it is stuck- all you need to do is tap it fairly sharply with a plastic mallet or the end of a large screwdriver to get it to 'unstick'. If that does not work you need a new starter. I have used this trick many times on starters that get stuck.

Hope this helps.
