lots of air pressure may have move out of place the wires. unplug, clean and plug back in each wire you may see that got in contact with the high air pressure. hope this may help you...
chevy pick ups have this issue. instrumental board stops working properly around 120,000 miles. gauges for gas,temp,oil,speed will not work properly. unless this happens under 100,000 miles you are covered. if not. 265 dlls ..this is what i paid for a chevy 2003 5.3 v8 vortex to get it repaired
It is ok for your gauge to go to 1/4 when off. It is even some what normal. The gauge is going to its neutral position. Keep in mind it is also comon for the sending unit to fail in this year / make of vehicle.
Mine has done this a few times after having disconnected the battery for service. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery a second time brought them back. A mechanic friend told me it hase something to do with the ECM relearning after having been disconnected. Hope this helps.
