Where is the fuel filter located on a 2005 Lincoln LS? I drove my LS just before empty. Now I notice when I'm driving it's a little sluggish when trying to accelerate. I would like to change the fuel filter to see if that solves the problem before I take it in to the dealership.

Check in the fuel line, the fuel filter for the lincoln ls is located behind the drivers side front wheel well. You must remove the front drivers tire then remove the plastic piece on your right hand side, and read this procedure for Lincoln LS 2000-2005 Fuel Filter - Removal & Installation:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, please familiarize yourself with safety procedures.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the left front wheel well rear splash shield.
5. Disconnect the fuel tube quick release fittings from both sides of the fuel filter.
6. Remove the fuel filter bracket mounting bolt, fuel filter bracket, and the fuel filter.

1. Install or connect the following:
   Fuel filter into the bracket making sure the flow direction is correct. Tighten the clamp to 15-25 inch lbs. (2-3 Nm). Fuel lines. Tighten the fittings to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).
   
2. Tighten the bracket bolts to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm).
3. Start the engine and check for leaks.

The fuel filter is behind the driver's side wheel. Here is the procedure....
