Engine warning light could be several different issues, best would be to use a chip reader to find out what the warning is, it could be sevice interval related, fuel or misfire issue or oil pressure or other best to get it checked to not waste time and money in the end it might be cheaper to get the garage just to service your vehicle.
If you have coolant in the oil you have a problem.If you keep driving it you are going to have a bigger problem. Take it to a shop that is familiar with that engine or you will end up with a BIG repair bill.
YEP INSUFFICIENT TRANSMISSION OIL WILL CAUSE DIFFICULTY ENGAGING GEARS. THE GEAR OIL COULD BE OLD NEED CHANGING ALSO CHECK FOR LOOSE OR DAMAGED SHIFT LINKAGES.
try changing the gear / transmission fluid first, this may ease up the gearing. but if it still there then you might have a problem with the clutch lining. have a mechanic to replace it.
