An electric fan will stay on even if your engine is off. It does that to cool your engine. This itself should not cause your check engine like to come on. Hope this helps you.

Locate the cooling fan relay module, drivers side below radiator. It is stuck closed, replace with new module. This will solve your problem.

My polo 1.5 TDI was making blower noise for few seconds after engine is turned off. I started my car after few days and moved only few feet then turned off engine. Should I go to service station ?

If you are talking about 1.4 TDI model year 2014+ Then the blower u hear is tha cooling fan that keeps running for some seconds after shut engine off due to the fact the DPF ( exhaust filter ) has gone into regeneration to burn all trash and due to high temperatures generated by the engine's rich fuel mixture the fan has to work for a while !!

Kia sadonna ran fin all morning but when I shut it off it won't start now, dash lights come on and when I turn the key it ticks, could it be the batterie,

Have your battery tested. If the fans ran all morning, too cool down your van it probably killed the battery. Also keep an eye on your temp gauge, and make sure it's not overheating. The temp sensor for the fans could also be faulty ; causing them to run longer than they should when you turn the van off.

look at connection to your starter. sometimes the positive cable works loose due to driving conditions. I had same problem with a Suzuki it only did it in cold weather but I ended up replacing the starter.

Hello I have a 1989 chevy c1500 truck and when I turn the engine light does not but when heated turns on and you change the alternator and air pump and thought you might be the thermostat that all you have...

I"m not sure what the problem is, this sounds like the engine light is coming on because its overheating and you replaced the airpump and alternator and now you thinks it is the thermostat. if this is correct then yes replace the thermostat and also check the fan clutch, when engine is hot the fan should not spin freely. and last are you sure the engine light is on due to it overheating, if it is due to overheating then check fan clutch and replace the thermostant

The radiator fan still working several seconds after I turn off the engine. Also during the engine on ,the fan turn on and off rapidly.

That is what it is supposed to do. There is a temperature switch that opens and closes as the coolant reaches certain temps. When it reads those temps it turns the fans on or off as needed. Your fan circuit is separate from your ignition to allow it to keep the engine cooled down after you shut the car off. This prevents possible damage to the engine due to heat. Today's engine have a lot more aluminum in them and it is affected by heat more so than the old cast iron engines. It is more noticable in warm weather because things heat faster and cool slower. Unless the fans run steady or not at all, you should be okay. Turning on the A/C will turn them on quicker and longer because it makes the engine work a lot harder. Hope this helps.

Check engine light is on.

Turn the key from off to on 5 times and the van will display the P codes on the odometer display. Google those codes and you should find the cause of you problem or an indication of where to start anyway. Some codes don't go away until you unplug the battery.
