Entire instrument cluster in my 97 plymouth voyager not working

The entire instrument cluster in my 97 plymouth grand voyager has stopped working. I can't see odometer trans info.(prdetc.) speedo tach gas -- nothing. I checked all fuses and connectors under the dash. I don't want to go through taking the dash apart to repaireplace the cluster if I don't have to . . .

To fix the dash going out try this. This is a common problem with the voyager, caravans and Town & Countrys. What the problem is is a cold soder in the interment cluster itself. The problem area is where the plug comes from the van into the cluster. You need to take the circuit board out of the cluster and reheat the soder on the back side of the circuit board were the plug plugs into. This will fix the cold soder permanitly I think its about 16 pins you have to reheat with the soder gun. If you don't feel comfrotable doing that you can just replace the interment cluster and it will be fine but if you buy a used one make sure it was tested. This also may fix the ABS light and the airbag light. Hope this helps I have done several of them.

"97 plymouth voyager cluster lights

Firts you need to check the fuse for your instument light and if it good check the connections to the cluster for a loose connection. The fuse should be in the compartment under the hood. You might also try starting the van and very slightly turn the key backwards to the run position to see if they work then. There has been an issue with ignition switches and this problem before. You might also try turning the key on and waiting a few seconds for the dash lights to go off then start it, there may also be an issue with a circuit board for the dash and this helps re set the PC board instrument panel controller. It's behind the instrument faceplate

Here's a good link to a common problem regarding the dash cluster. Not too bad removing it and performing this if handy at all.

Sounds like you may have the dash cluster solder problem. Here's a link to some pictures of what needs to be done, but if you google Caravan dash soldering, or similar, there is more details out there.

My instrument cluster stopped working on my 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE 3.3L. It was working most of the time for the past year but occasionally would not work, but it stopped working completely 4 days...

mcdevito75 here, There is a specific part undre rhe steering whell that controls the cluster, if you vehicle has this than it"s a shop only repair item. Check with your local shop. I don"t remember the name of this part though but it also controls the horn.

97 grand am gauges not working at all

check fuses, if not that, could be a lose wire or at worst you need a new instrument cluster.
