My 2000 Toyota Landcruiser won't start even after a new battery and alternator were installed 3 months ago. Vehicle is not used often but problem has just been occurring recently. 2 months ago I replaced the battery and alternator and parked in garage now I can't even jump the vehicle and get it to respond.
Starter is problem.
What gauge jumper cables are you using? May need a larger set. My mustang wouldn't jump on anything more than 6ga.
Are lights coming on at all? Does the engine make any noise when attempting to start?
Could be an elecreical drain somewhere.
Could be a fuel pump. Does it get fuel?
You need more info with your question.

Hi,if all your connections are good,it sounds like the alternator. I would take the battery out and charge it,then load test it.If it checks good.Take the alternator to autozone or advance and have it checked.Good Luck!!!

i hate to say it, but you are gonna have to open the hood in the confined area and try to work with the area you have or call in whatever autoclub you use / the dealer and make it their problem.
actually you can buy a jump box that plugs into your cig. lighter and jump it that way. my jump box has the set up to do it that way. but check your owners manual to see if the car will accept that without damage.

the same way you would if they were in the engine compartment.

the first suspect is the igniton switch. when this happens, take the ign key and just barlely turn it, either way, not enough to go off/on just a little tweak, it the lights come back on or flicker, that ign switch will need replacement.

It sounds like the battery has a dead cell in it. Replace the battery. If you have an alarm installed remove the in line fuse from the alarm and see if that stops the battery drain.
