I have a 2002 dodge 2500 4wd with cummins fiesel and 6 speed i added power steering fluid becuase it was a little low and when i drove the truck the brakes locked up and had no power steering what could be the problem

code p 0252 refers to injection pump A rotor/cam--range /performance problem===causes injector pump
have a cummins repair shop properly diagnose the pump problem
check the power steering fluid level, Mine did that too on my wifes car,, fluid was so Low I had air in the system, fill the fluid it will bleed itself out,, check the idle speed also, It may be set too Low
power steering fluid does NOT go anywhere near the boot.but when you fitted a new rack did you turn steering wheel fully left and right several times to prime the rack and then check the fluid.....half a quart is a lot of fluid to add to the system (change your mechanic ASAP)MY BICHON COULD DO BETTER....
power steering need bleeding if your reservoir was dry when you added fluid if.fluid was okay not too low.your power steering pump could be faulty.the cold weather will effect it.
