Integral Fuel Pump & Filter (Replaceable Element Type) Prior to 1966, the fuel pump was equipped with an integral fuel filter, featuring a replaceable element. It is recommended that this filter element be replaced every 36 months or 36,000 miles, or in the event that the filter becomes clogged. It is important to use the proper filter element for your fuel pump and to observe the instructions for positioning the element within the fuel pump unit. These instructions will be printed on the replacement element.

have you checked the fuel filter, and made sure that fuel lines are not blocked? Not really sure of the location of the filter but if you fallow the lines one of them has to lead to the filter. Also when you installed the pump is it possible that when re-connecting the fuel lines they might have got crossed which would make it suck air instead of pull gas from tank

2005 Dodge Dakota V8 4.7L, 4X4, engine light on, code P0452 . Where is the fuel pressure sensor located?
  1. The Fuel Level Sending Unit, or Fuel Level Sensor, is located in your gas tank with the Fuel Pump Module. The fuel gauge sending unit (fuel level sensor) is attached to the side of the fuel pump module. The sending unit consists of a float, an arm, and a variable resistor track (card).
  2. The Fuel Pressure Regulator is located within fuel pump module. The fuel pressure regulator controls fuel system pressure. The PCM cannot detect a clogged fuel pump inlet filter, clogged in-line fuel filter, or a pinched fuel supply or return line. However, these could result in a rich or lean condition causing the PCM to store an oxygen sensor or fuel system diagnostic trouble code.
Both of these sensors are connected with the Fuel Pump Module. Here is a diagram:

follow the fuel line up from the gas tank and you will find a round canister this is the filter also it is usually located on the driver side under that area

Hyundai fuel sensor locatio??
It is located outside of the the fuel tank. Start on the drivers side and look under the back part near the rear wheel. You should have a bracket along with a canister like item. That's the fuel filter. I believe 2 14mm wrenches or 1 14mm wrench and an adjustable wrench working with opposite motion should do the trick. Do so to unscrew the filter from both fuel lines. Be careful not to strip it. Make sure you have a drip pan. It will leak a little bit.
