When I start in the morning, the air conditioning works. After driving a couple of miles the compressor stops working.

Difficult to describe, but I will give it a try.
Inside the driver's side fender, close to the front of the car, there is a bracket that is held in place by one bolt, but which has a short horizontal bar as part of it which has two large clips encircling two cylinderical devices which have wires clipped into them at the bottoms. The one closest to the front (radiator) is the compressor clutch relay. The other one is the condenser fan relay.
Hope this helps you find it.

Try 'jiggling' the key while you hold it in the start position' this could be a failed ignition switch.
It could also be that the + terminal on the starter or starter solenoid may be corroded.
Since the battery was just replaced, those terminals are probably clean enough but check the negative cable where it attaches to the chassis or block. If the connection is flaky here, enough current can often pass to allow lower current devices to operate but drop too much voltage if the starter is trying to operate.
Starters require 100-200 amperes, many times higher than anything else in our vehicles and show up cruddy connections pretty quick.

Had a similar problem on my Accord. I did some research and found out that the blower resister/transistor/controller (it's called a few different things depending on where you look) was fried.
It is located under dash on the passenger side behind the lower panel. It's attached to the
firewall with two screws. You can't miss it.
The part is about $85 and I was going to do it myself, but I couldn't get my hands in there to undo the faulty unit. The part number you are looking for is: 79330-SDA-AO1.
