I noticed my truck didnt want to start like it had a weak battery. I drove it anyway and first my abs light came on, then I started losing all my accessories like radio power windows, etc. I got towed home after truck quit running. I charged the batteries up last night, truck runs but still no gauges, glow plug light doesnt work, radio doesnt work, and I still have not changed the alternator. I took it to auto zone and had it checked they said it was not charging my batteries, but if I do change that will everything work then. I thought if I charged the batteries everything would start working. PLease help.....

All of you accessories can't run from the battery. The alternator has to produce 13-14 volts to you battery to keep the battery charged fully so all the accessories will work. Soon as a power source is powered on it will drain the battery quickly if the alternator isn't putting out. I would change the alternator. Honestly, If you have a shop close by that rebuilds alternators, this is the way I would go. Here in my home town, a rebuilt is $95 as a rebuilt from auto zone is $140-170 and comes with the same warranty. I use a rebuild shop for all alternators and starters. Cheaper and have never had to take one back compared to auto stores.

1995 lincoln continental. Sitting at stop light, abs light comes on, drove home about 5 miles and abs lignt on and off the whole time. parked car and now wont start. just clicks. any suggestions?

Anytime a starter clicks instead of turning over, you should suspect your battery is weak. Try to get a jump start and take the car to an auto parts store. Most of them will do bettery and alternator checks for no charge.

Car not starting, due to airbags blinking?

I had the same problem.air bag light blinking. Although the power window, radio, light, A/C,etc was working, I could not get it to start. I found out the charge indicator light was not coming on when key is turn to the on position. Cut a short story even shorter, The alternator died. Check your alternator, therefore not charging battery.. But first check your battery(all other features can still work with weak battery) Car can't start because not enough power in battery to turn over. That was my problem. Probably the same for you.

Vsc & trac off indicators

Have you scanned both the engine computer and the abs computer? Because it is an abs problem, likely a wheel speed sensor.

Battery warning light, handbrake light going on and off

You could have a alternator problem. When the alternator stops charging the battery you are running on just the battery. When the battery gets weak a lot of weird things starts happening. Have your alternator tested.
