I have a kenwood excelong kdc-x993. my bluetooth compatible phone is paired with my reciever, and has been working fine for two months.Suddenly it stopped working, and the bluetooth doesn't work at all. On my phone it says its completely paired and working, but on my reciever it just shows HF DISCONNECTED. When i go to the 'device delete' option on my reciever, it shows no devices or phones. It was completely blank. And although i have only 2 phones paired to my reciever, and it allows 5, it says my device is full. i have no idea what else i could possibly try and make it work. thanks for the help

Try deleting the stereo from your bluetooth profile in your phone. Then try disconnecting the positive battery lead for a minute or so and reconnecting to reset the stereo. Then try again. If not, contact Kenwood support, and if it's still under warranty period, I would complain :)

it sounds like your noise cancelation part of the bluetooth needs adjusted because the decibel level of the incoming side is being exceeded until you shut everything down.. either that or the operating voltage is causing a system shutdown to prevent inputs from going too high..

Probably a Bluetooth compatibility problem. Just because they paired doesn't mean the drivers in both devices are currently compatible (one of them may have been updated without you knowing). You will have to dig deeper and determine what the current Bluetooth versions are on each and then check compatibility.

All bluetooth connectivity stopped with my 2010 Equinox. Icon will not display and cannot pair any devices.

The picture Im sending you is the information on your vehicle based on what I can get from General motors tech website to inform you if your intstructions in owners manual are unable to correct your situation. There really no way to quick fix the issue.here is the page information; Before reading note there are unavailable sections or links because it is pasted from a General motors page unavailable to public.
You are looking at a trip to General motors unfortunately unless you can find a shop with a tech 2 scan tool.

Circuit/System Description
The Bluetooth ® antenna is a small fixed antenna connected directly to the telematics communication interface control module and is used to send and receive signals from a Bluetooth ® enabled cellular phone. The antenna utilizes no cabling and is not external to the vehicle.
In order to use hands-free calling, the cellular phone must be paired to the vehicle. Up to five devices can be paired to the vehicle at one time, but only one can be connected at any given time. To pair a phone, the customer must know how to operate the Bluetooth ® functionality of their phone. The pairing process must only be done one time for each phone, unless that phone’s information is deleted. For safety reasons, the pairing process is disabled while the vehicle is moving.
Diagnostic Aids • The purpose of this diagnostic is to verify the ability of the telematics communication interface control module to pair to a Bluetooth ® device. • Before performing this test, verify compatibility of the cellular phone(s) the customer is attempting to use with the vehicle. Based on the cellular phone’s service provider and the manufacturer’s implementation of Bluetooth ®, not all phones support all available Bluetooth ® functionality. A vehicle and feature compatibility list will be provided via the GM Bluetooth ® website: http://www.gm.com/vc/bluetooth/ • If the vehicle passes the following tests and a compatible device is being used, the concern may be due to a device malfunction or an incomplete/improper pairing attempt. • A Bluetooth ® test tool or equivalent can also be used to verify the ability of the customers cellular phone(s) to pair with another device. 1. Verify DTC B2485 is not set.
  2. → If DTC B2485 is set , refer to DTC B2485
  3. Set up a Bluetooth ® test tool or equivalent.

  6. Follow the instructions provided in the Vehicle Owners Manual for pairing a device. Verify successful pairing with the test tool.
  7. → If pairing is not successful, repeat the pairing process. If pairing is still not successful, replace the K73 telematics communication interface control module.

Bluetooth Compatibility

Bluetooth is pretty much universal, in that if you have two bluetooth devices and they are paired correctly you should have full connectivity.
If you have not purchased a phone based on the info given by VW, just try and pair a friends phone up to the car, it will do no harm.

Bluetooth connection... with no audio. the pair appears easily with the LG Dare phone, with signal strength and battery strength showing on the display, but there is no audio

Though the phone paired, is it compatible?  Some phones will pair but not work.  The salesman should have told you about the website that shows which phones are compatible.  When the button is pressed does the radio go quiet?  Is the radio on?  Do voice commands work for the center stack?  will it ring when someone calls you.  If the phone is good, then try the HFL unit.  WWW.HANDSFREELINK.COM
