The gauges should get power from the same circuit. So if the gas gauge works, the temp gauge should have power.
Could be the sending unit on the engine, or the gauge itself.
no sufficent power Must be due to dust in the connectors try cleaning them also check for any insulation damages on the wires if so replace them with same type.
This could be a few different things. First off I would make sure it's full of coolant. Low coolant will not let the temp sensor function correctly. The temp sending unit could be bad, or possibly unplugged. Hope this helps, TJ
1. This is probably the result of oil leaking into the cylinder through a bad valve stem seal.
2. As long as the coolant reservoir is not indicating a loss of coolant (ie the reservoir is not low) and the cooling system is properly blead than I would not worry about the intermittent slight increase in coolant temp.
3. I would first try greasing the track and regulator.

It sounds like your thermostat is stuck closed. You can remove the thermostat and test it on a stove with a pan of water, to see if the thermostat opens before the water boils in the pan.
