Most vehicles are equipped with Halogen bulbs that are small bulbs that are replaced from under the hood behind the headlight bezel assembly.
They have a twist turn method generally to remove/replace hiowever they cannot have your hand come in contact with the glass bulb as the oils on your skin will in fact reduce the halogen bulbs life as it gets extremely hot burning the oil off the lense shortening the bulbs existence.
Remember to replace the bulb with the proper bulb as you may find two or three different applications of halogen bulbs for the same vehicle, they all have a purpose, they go from bright to brighter to brighter each increase in candle power also increases in price of the bulb, a typical standard priced Halogen is approximately $9.95 and up.

2004 Buick Rainier AWD headlights went out while driving

https://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=mcafee&type=E210US1494G0&p=2004+Buick+Rainier+no+low+headlight+beams+not+working

Possible the headlight/dimmer switch is bad. Should be part of the turn signal switch assembly. Try moving the switch back and forth many times to see if the connection is bad.

Adjusting head lights 2006 rainier

Look for the little plastic star drive adjusters to adjust up and down. I use a very small SAE deep well socket to adjust mine 7/32" if I recall correctly. Look near the rear of the headlight assembly. That's where Trailblazers are (Same platform as Rainier), but I know the heads lights differ just a tad.

My low beam headlights go off and on, but the lights will stay on if I put the high beams on. Would this be a relay problem or the headlight switch? I have a 2004 Buick Rainier.

RELAY RELAY RELAY. Known issue for years, there is a recall for this issue. Quick fix is to swap #43 with #46 relay or replace your own relay. I keep a spare in my glovebox. GM has just released a permanent fix for this problem, like a month ago.

My 04 buick rainier has the auto headlight system. When you first start the car the headlights come on. after about 10 min. driving all of a sudden the low beams turn off by them selves daylight or dark. ...

.
The problem with the headlights is a common one and it is in the low beam relay.; In the under hood fuse panel, locate the HDM relay, swap this relay with the FAN relay next to it. If the lights stay on, replace the relay. This is a solid state relay, so make sure to get the same part number.

Have a 2005 Buick Rainier no low beam light

If it has a headlight relay,it is probably bad(There's a possibility of a bad ground which is common to both headlights). If not that,it must be the multi-switch that has the turn-signal/headlight/dimming control on it.don-ohio (:^)

Headlamp remove & replace

If it is just burnt out , you do not have to remove or replace the whole lamp , just the small bulb inside of it. They are usually easily accessable from inside the engine compartment , and just come out of the back of the headlight by 1/4 turn.

Replacing headlight bulb. How to get the grill out.

For agrivation go to walmart and have an oil change and ask them to change the headlight bulbs, they do NOT CHARGE EXTRA labor charges.

Otherwise, gently apply pulling pressure on the front grill every few inches to get the grill unhooked on the top and bottom nearest the headlight assembly. Then have someone hold the grill assembly out while you pull out the headlight assembly to access the rear of it to remove the hold down nut to remove the bulb's. Reverse removal procedure, which is actually harder to put the headlight assembly back into place then it is to remove.

Switch relay #45 with relay #46 next time your low beams go out, do you have lights again? If so, get a new relay.

How do remove headlight assembly on 2005 Buick LaCrosse to replace lighe bulb

I just changed the low beam bulb in a '05 Buick LaCrosse and found it really rather easy after researching it. I found no reason to remove the grill and the bumper cover, BUT you do have to remove the top 4 fastners that hold the grill assy to the radiator support, then you can work the headlight assy forward enough to work it out of the socket and turn it down so you can get to the bulb pockets on the back side. NO NEED to remove it all, just loosen it and gentley pry things forward enough to get the light assy out. ALSO> My supplier said his Wagner lighting book called for a 9006 bulb, but the car I worked took a H11. About 4x the money over a plain ol 9006 bulb but it might save someone picking up the wrong bulb. I hope this helps someone else out....Best of luck to you all
