Valve Setting is usually done only by authorised service center of Hundai, because if you do the setting wrongly it may hurt the car performance. Kindly go to the car service center or you can get the data only by visiting any Hundai service center directly.

Torque settingsfor head on lister petter mini6 engine

I have just rebuilt one for our Westerly 21. This is from my Petter 'A' range workshop manual:-
The water cooled engines (AC1W etc.) are:cylinder head nuts: 30NM (22 lbft) except 32.5NM (24 lbft) for the one that also holds the rocker.
Valve clearances are 0.1mm (0.004") COLDReset valve clearance after one hours running since torquing the head.
Retorque head and set valve clearance after initial 20 hours running
I believe Mini-6 refers to the water cooled engines but just in case, the air cooled engines are 27N (20 lbft)

What is the valve clearance and head bolt torque on a nissan td27 engine 1996 model

valve clearance is .014 inch for intake and exhaust with engine warm.
head torque it 21 ftlbs, then 44 ftlbs, then loosen all, torque to 89 inchlbs, then to 21ftlbs, then mark and turn the bolts an additional 60 to 65 degrees.
cyl head sub bolts torque 80 to 100 inchlbs.
thanks.

I have oil leakin on top of my spark plug wires in the tube ive changed the valve cover gasket 3 times i even put high heat cilcone over around the spark plug tubes but all it does is slow it down im not...

Two things:

1. Make sure you torque the bolts down to the right specification, which is 83 inch pounds (or about 7 ft lbs). Work opposite end of the cover and start with a lower torque first (like 50 in lbs), then go up to 83. It's just a good practice.

2. If that does not work, get a Fel Pro gasket set VS50365R (pic below). What is special about this set is the really thin o-rings there in the middle. Those are the rocker arm tube seals. You need to take the rocker arms off in order to replace them, but this way you're doing a complete job and you probably won't have that issue again. If you don't want to get the whole set again (since you already replaced most of it 3x over), you can probably just go to a honda dealership and pick up the 4 you need.

Here are the seals under the rocker arms:

If you decide to do this yourself, it's a good idea to get a set of feeler gauges so you can properly gap the clearance from the rocker arms to the valves. Intake valves should be gaped to .010 in, and exhaust valves to .012 inches. Also, yes, you can take the rocker arm assembly off without removing the distributor...just take off that one bolt that is in the way. The torque for the bolts holding in the rocker assembly is 9 ft-lbs for the smaller 6x1mm bolts and 16 ft-lbs for the larger 8x1.25mm bolts. Here is the torque sequence...

What are the torque measurements for the rocker arms and intake manafold?

2.2L Engine & 2.4L Engines
These engines are not equipped with rocker arms. The camshafts directly actuate the valves.

3.1L Engine & 3.4L Engines
When install or connect the check the following:
- Pushrods and the rocker arms. Torque the bolts to 24 ft. lbs. (32 Nm). - Rocker arm cover using a new gasket. Torque the rocker cover bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
- Heater bypass pipe. Torque the screw at the water pump to 106 inch lbs. (12 Nm), the bolt at the cylinder head corner to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm) and the nut to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).

About the INTAKE MANIFOLD...
-
Intake manifold nuts and bolts and tighten to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm)
- Pushrods and rocker arms. Torque the bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm) plus an additional 30 degree turn. - Lower intake manifold. Apply sealant to the threads of the bolts and torque the bolts to 115 inch lbs. (13 Nm).

Oil leak from rocker box on 1996jeep cherokee2.5td

Get you a new gasket for the rocker cover, make sure you clean the mating surface good, and all traces of old gasket, and silicon etc. make sure you dont overtighten the bolts to the rocker cover. the torque for the rocker cover is 35 in lbs (4nm). as far as vavle clearance it is none adjustable. A clicking valve can indicate worn lifters, sometimes an oil change will quiet down noisy lifters. If noisy lifters persist you would have to service the heads. If you decide to do that yourself you can ask for a procedure on that too later on. Removal of the head is very difficult, because you need to remove a lot of things, and require you to do a timing on the engine.
