I have a 1986 Honda Prelude with a A18A1. I'm having issues with it, the engine runs rough until engine speeds are above 2000 RPM's then it runs like a champ. Put new spark plugs in and fuel additive. Didn't seem to do anything it has only 43,000 miles on her. Just took her out for a spin today all was fine until this. No CEL or other dummy lights. I got her home safely but stumped! Please help

Is the cap and rotor in good shape? Doesn't sound like a vacuum leak. It's possible there is a problem with your distributor but not sure what. Is the timing belt in good shape?

Have you changed your fast idle valve or air idel control valve I would change the air idle valve because it is the one with an electric sensor.
