No, this is a hydraulic clutch and the only adjustment may b on the pedal linkage for free travel to the master cylinder. It sounds as though you may have a bad clutch master cylinder or defective slave cylinder.
If you have manual clutch the it appears that the clutch is not operating as it should. Check if there is clearance between the throw out arm and the slave cylinder rod and if not replace the clutch master cylinder as it is holding pressure in the line and not allowing the clutch to fully engage. If it is a cable operation then replace the cable
sounds to me like the clutch master cylinder might be bad usually this happens when the line or the clutch master cylinder leaks fluid and you lose pressure to your clutch pedal...you should have a hydraulic clutch on this truck...if its leaking it will need to be replaced its located under the truck usually on the drivers side mounted on the transmission bell housing...hopes this helps
you should buy a self adjusting clutch, you can set the clutch yourself, to catch right away,or, a couple of inches of play, It could also be your clutchplate, not cheap! I hope this helps you in some way
your truck has a hydraulic clutch, which has a master cylinder next to the brake master cylinder. Check the fluid level. If it is low or empty, you have a leak in the master or slave cylinder (at the transmission).
Replace the leaking part and bleed the system to restore clutch pedal.
fill the reservoir for the clutch slave cylinder. No with the engine OFF pump the clutch 25 times. Yes 25 times. Now start the engine and see if it shifts. If it does you need a new slave cylinder, clutch, pressure plate, & throwout bearing as well. Everything is replaced upon dismantling for you do now want to do it again within a few months later. Also have the flywheel machined smooth if its still any good
Yes, your clutch might be worn and/or out of adjustment or the trans is worn. Your clutch may be fine also. Toyota's have a problem with there shifter bushings and seats. They brake and crack also causing shifting problems. And some times only one gear depending on the condition.If yours is broken,crack or damaged, you can find the parts from Toyota and there a whole lot cheaper than a clutch. Also I recommend adjusting the clutch if possible. Not all are adjustable. Check your clutch fluid.
