1967 buick riviera 430 dist firing order also vacuum diagram for engine and does dist wire go on pos side of coil?

F.O. is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Rotor turns clockwise. Wire from coil to distributor is from negative side of coil. The positive side of coil is for hot wire originating from ignition switch. Always hot with key on.
For vacuum diagram, just google "1967 Buick Riviera 430 cu in, vacuum diagrams" . It is there.

Looking for dist firing order for 1967 430 plus a vacuum diagram and what side of coil does dist wire go on?

The firing order is, 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2
Odd and even numbered cylinder banks. driver side bank, front to back, 1 3 5 7
passenger side bank, front to back, 2 4 6 8
Dist rotor rotation, clock wise.
If you put number one cylinder on tdc of compression stroke, then whichever sparkplug tower the rotor is leading into, in the proper direction is number one. Then you follow the firing order in proper direction around the cap.

Where is the neutral starter safety switch located in 88 fiero

Assuming that it's an automatic. the neutral safety switch is mounted to the top of the transmission.

on a stock Fiero, if you look down into the engine bay, on the driver's side, it's right on top. You can identify it by the row of wires coming out of it.

Tune up, 2002 nissan altima, diagram

there really is no such thing as a tune up on a late model vehical. generally that means replace the following components: sparkplugs, sparkplug wires, fuel filter, air filter, and add injector cleaner

Need a wiring diagram for spark plugs for a 1995 jeep Cherokee sport

V6 engine: firing order: 1 2 3 4 5 6, distributor rotates clockwise. Left bank of engine (driver's side), cylinders 2, 4, 6 (#2 at front of engine). Right bank: 1, 3, 5 (#1 at front of engine).
Inline 6 engine: firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. Distributor rotates clockwise.
The number one tower on the dist. cap should have a mark or numeral 1 on it. If not, turn crankshaft to top dead center of compression stroke on number one cylinder, the 0 degrees or "T" mark on the crank pulley pointer. If you are on the compression stroke (not the exhaust stroke), the rotor under the dist. cap will be pointing to the number one cylinder spark plug wire tower.

I bought a 79 trans am but the spark plug wires are not connected. I need to know how to hook up the wires for the oldsmobile 403 engine

First youll need to locate top dead center, remove the first plug on the driverside, have someone tap key until compression blows out have your finger over the sparkplug hole while the key is tapped, after the air blows out remove the dist cap, then find line on crank and line up to 10 degrees btdc, look at the dist rotor # 1 on the cap will be the prong cloesest the where rotor points going counter clockwise, so mark side of dist, then install cap follow line you made to locate the #1 prong on cap start there that # 1, here a diagram with firing order and cylinder id. hope this helps.b5327b1.gif

I have a 1987 pontiac fiero and i took the spark plug wires off the distributor and now i don't know where they go.

the firing order on 99% of 4 cylinder engines is 1,3,4,2. look on the distributor (dist) cap and see if it has any marks like a line or a #1 by on e of the plug wire towers. start with that one and then go in the direction the distributor rotor turns. attach wires one by one in the order 1,3,4,2 . to find the direction of rotation take the cap of the distributor and have a friend crank engine for 10 sec. no1 cylinder is in front of engine, i think it is on the right side on the Fiero, where the belts are. if no markings on the dist. cap remove no1 plug and get ti to the top on the compresion stroke ( both valves closed) and see where the rotor in the dist. ends up that is your no 1. hope this helps.
