This may be a long shot, but it's what the problem was on my '95. My pickup would overheat very quickly. I replaced the thermostat, radiator cap, hoses, flushed the radiator, even replaced the water pump, but it would still overheat. (I used to carry a gallon of water just to make it back and forth to work -- 30 miles.) Then I noticed some gouges in the plastic seat of the radiator tank -- where the cap seats. The cap was not able to keep the system pressurized, so when it reached "normal" operating temperature, it would begin to boil the water out. Using a grinder, I resized a large flat washer to fit in the filler neck and bonded it it place with silicone rubber. I haven't had a bit of problem since.

I'm having problems with my 2000 honda. It keeps

A few questions first...are you sure its overheating and not just a bad temp sensor? is yes then how many miles on car? if over 90K than did you have the water pump replaced with your timing belt?Is your fan coming on at all? Is your radiator full?If your water pump has been changed and your radiator is full and your fan is working properly and you have a new thermostat then you should take your radiator off and have it flow tested to make sure its operating properly, and no you cant just pour water through it to tell if its working properly.

IT sounds like heater control valve not thermostat. Check Pelican Parts.com or BavAuto.com for tech advise & tips. Also check RealOem.com (enter your cars specs and you will see exploded diagrams)

1992 Ford Taurus Overheating

Thermostat is faulty.
It can be found by grabbing the top radiator hose and following back to the engine. The housing this hose is clamped to is the thermostat housing. Remove the 2 bolts, and the cover o reveal the thermostat.
It should cost less than $20 for a thermostat and gasket.
Replace it and your overheating isues will go away.
