Click on the following: direct, free Link. It has the Timing Belt Marks for your 1994 Dodge Colt; with the unspecified 1.5L or 1.8L SOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder Engines.
After looking at the Diagrams, if you are having a problem with locating the marks on the Cam Sprocket LOOK at the Camshaft Key location at the center of the Camshaft Sprocket Bolt in relation to where the Mark should be.
There are several additional diagrams on the Link Page which will be help you in your endeavors.

Let me know if this helped.

Change timming belt. where marks have to be set? 92 dodge colt

I lost you, stupid computer. Anyhow there are 8 different engines for the dodge colt in the early 1990's I can only assume its the 1.4L, 1.5L or 2.4L. The 1.4L & 1.5L the timing marks are exactly the same. The Cam points to 3:00 marks ther. The crank points almost straight up, slightly to the right, mark on engine cover. The 2.4L has 3 marks, The crank has an alignment mark at approximately 10:00, the cam sprocket points straight up at 12:00 and the idler pulley (to the right of crank shaft pulley) points approximately 11:00. They should all have a notch or mark when aligned. The short secondary belt, the crankshaft should be in the same location 10:00 and the balance shaft (to the left) should be at 9:00. This goes on after of course. Rotate engine 2 full revolutions and recheck marks before starting engine.

Timing marks for the Dodge 2.4L caravan, 2000

To align both sets of timing marks, turn engine crankshaft to the right with belt on cam and crank. Once you have done this the crankshaft alignment mark (on front of crankshaft gear) will line up with mark to the rear of gear on engine block. The two cam gear timing marks should be alines across from one another. The right cam gear is the intake side and the left side is the exhaust side. After removing the belt turn the exhaust cam down 1/2 notch. Timing mark on exhaust 1/2 notch down from the intake side. Install new belt and recheck everything to make sure it's all correct. Hope this will help you.

timing marks are easy to see,(on the top of gears and line up with the metal indents above them) change the water pump it idles on it... you need a cam holder to hold your cam gears in place when changing they will spin when you take off the old belt... it is an easy timing belt for a *** V6...!

How to replace 1987 Dodge Colt water pump

Rear Wheel Drive:

1. Open the radiator petcock and the engine drain plug on the passenger's side. Drain the cooling system. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable.
  1. Remove all drive belts, pump mounted cooling fan/or drive pulley, and the alternator brace.
  2. Unscrew the retaining nuts and bolts. Remove the water pump.

To install:
  1. Install a new gasket on the timing gear cover with sealer.
  2. Apply sealer to the mating surface of the water pump. Install the pump. Tighten the nuts and bolts gradually in a criss-cross pattern to 11 ft. lbs. Don't overtighten the fasteners, the pump is aluminum.
  3. Spin the pump to make sure that it doesn't interfere with the case.
  4. Install the fan.
  5. Install and tension the drive belts.
  6. Refill the cooling system with a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and water.
FRONT Wheel Drive:

  1. Drain the cooling system.
  2. Remove all drive belts and water pump pulley. It may be necessary to remove an engine mount, the power steering pump and alternator brace to gain necessary clearance, depending on model.
  3. Remove the timing belt covers and timing belt tensioner, and timing belt.
  4. Remove the water pump bolts.
  5. Remove the water pump.

To install:
  1. Discard the O-ring in the front end of the water pipe. Install a new O-ring coated with water.
  2. Using a new gasket, mount the water pump. Torque the bolts with a head mark 4-10 ft. lbs.: the bolts with a head mark 7-20 ft. lbs.
  3. Assemble the remaining components, install the timing belt. Fill the system with a 50% mix of antifreeze.
