Either you will need a diag machine to plug in and clear the fault code providing the fault has been rectified if not it will not clear as the ecu will still see the fault if the fault has been repaired disconecting the battey for ten min may work or the light should go out over time vw specifiy 200 cycles of the ignition with out the fault re-occouring

Hi James, Check all the fuses and in particular the connection cables to the battery. The circuits you have mentioned are auxiliary to the starter and operate through relays. One of those is a main relay and that is where I would check. Regards John

05568 mil request signal active check tcm for error. P1624 not a plausible signal

First off, let's simply define the OBD-II Trouble Codes:
Yes, 18032/P1624/005668 are the three codes that indicate "MIL Request Signal Active."
So, what does THAT mean (in plain English)??? This means that Fault Codes are stored in the TCM. SO WHAT'S THE SOLUTION?

1997 VW 2.0 Engine Air filter / check engine light

Sounds like it could be a mass airflow sensor failure. Take your car do your reputable mechanic and have them scan your computer to find out what the error code is, and then go from there. If it says that the mass airflow sensor is offline, I would look to make sure that the connector is properly secured on the air intake hose.
