Major hesitation at cold idle, car accelerates at a slow pace, hesitation also appears when in passing gear. replaced fuel filter 2 months ago

this does sound like a plugged fuel filter once removed see if you can blow thru it .

You sure filter is facing flow correctly?:I'd check that first,some cars/trucks have in-line filters.

Fuel filter clogged, weak or faulty fuel pump. Have fuel pressure checked, if its ok, then check igniton coil or module.

first and easiest steps, replace air filter and fuel filter.

next step, watch your driving. slow down, and don't always slam the throttle. Accelerate at a decent pace, not turtle but not rabbit! lol

Check the egr valve,make sure it is not sticking,and do a major tune up,this will help in burning the rich mixture at cold idle.

REPLACE FUEL FILTER THEN FUEL PUMP

could be the type of plug you are using.I was told only to use ngk plugs.I recently put bosch plugs in my mazda 3 and the check engine light came on and it started missfiring.

Check fuel pressure at idle it should read 30psi. If you have a weak fuel pump it will act just like you describe. Located intake and replace the fuel filter.

From minor problem to major problem. Try to replace your spark plug wires, rotor cap and the spark plugs, also it can be the injectors, plus if possible, try to replace the fuel filter which is located low under your EFI unit. If problem not solved, then it will probably be your A/T trans.
