Why does my 2005 dodge ram 1500 3.7 liter only goes up to 4000 rpm when i reve it up and it starts to sputter when in park?

its the rev limiter. its suppose to do that when the engine has no load or the vehicle is stationary so you don't break the engine. now when your moving and it happens check fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter,etc.

How do i get the copper elbow pipe off of the number one chamber side of the throttle body of a 1998 dodge ram 1500 5.2 liter engine

It takes two wrenches. One for the line fitting and one for the fitting at the throttle body.

2000 dodge ram 1500 replaced fuel pump but still bogging down when you get to 40mph no dash lights coming on has died twice when you come to a stop second time acted like it didnt want to start back up but...

You indicate the fuel pump was replaced, but did you replace the fuel filter? A clogged filter can restrict fuel flow to the point the engine literally starves for fuel and smothers out.

Also would be a very good idea to check fuel pump pressure at the intake manifold. Also might want to check fuel pressure regulator.

2001 dodge ram1500 /accelerates slow even w/peddle to the floor

How many miles on that rig? The 4.7 motor is a great motor.

Sounds like a fuel starvation issue. Might also be a trans issue. Does the trans seem to be shifting properly?? Could it be starting in 2nd gear which is the "limp mode" for Chrysler trannies?

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2001 ram 1500 4x4 p/u?

The 2001 Dodge Ram does not have a fuel filter only a fuel strainer in the fuel tank.

You will need to buy the no a/c belt most likely. Check the diagram in the engine compartment.

2001 dodge ram 1500 4X4 transmition slips intermitant, makes truck kinda of hops as you accelerate. changed filter and ATF, tried lucas ATF conditioner, no help.

I think you might be barking up the wrong tree. Try changing your fuel filter. Often people confuse a plugged fuel filter for transmission problems. I'm not positive, but from what you've descibed it certainly could be. The engine is starving for fuel, and this makes it seem like the transmission is acting up.

Don't know which engine you have so here are a few different ones. Note: the 5.9L has a with a/c and a without a/c diagram.

5.9L with a/c

5.9L no a/c

3.7L and 4.7L

Fuel filter is located on bottom of module (module = fuel pump,fuel filter, and fuel gage indicator) located inside of fuel tank.

SOURCE: fuel filter removal for dodge ram 1500 2003 model

The combination fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator is used on all engines. It is located on the top of the fuel pump module. A separate frame mounted fuel filter is not used with any engine.
Both fuel filters (at bottom of fuel pump module and within fuel pressure regulator) are designed for extended service. They do not require normal scheduled maintenance.
