2000 caravan. engine will no start. replaced the cam pos sensor, no fix. I don't seem to be getting fire to the coil pack. any tips on testing or repairing?

consider substituting the ECM and checking all of the electronic harness connections

O2 sensors won't make misfires they only monitor air in the emissions if you have a random misfire it's most likely gonna be your coil pack or a cam pos sensor the cam sensor detects the location of the cam and tell the pcm and it tells the coil to fire your are getting O2 codes cause it detects unburned fuel it the exhaust

You need fuel, air, and fire to start your vehicle. Make sure gas is getting to the engine and make sure it has spark to the engine. Check all your fuel components, fuses, relays, fuel reset if equipped. Did you replace anything else besides the coil? Plugs, wires, coil pack, distributor, rotor, cam sensor, crank sensor? Did you check your timing belt/chain? Let me know please.

You could have a clogged Catalytic Converter which would cause the backfiring and non -starting issue.

had the same problem in mine we found it was the cam shaft positioning sensor. my van had shut off and we had no current to plugs and at first thought coil pack but still nothing. no power to coil pack. then found sensor no good. also we replaced the sensor with an after market sensor and worked fine for couple months then started to shut off again. after a little research found we needed original cam shaft pos sen from dealer and since then no problems. hope this works for you.

Did you replace that stuff because it wouldn't start or after you replaced it you couldn't get it started. Check the crank and cam sensors

have you changed the ignition wires? perhaps firing order crossed? if not coil pack or ignition wires faulty how do you know it is not "FIREING" on 1 & 4 have you tested it with a spark tester tool???
