Where is the starter located on a 1996 olds aurora

The starter is located under the intake manifold, if you remove the intake you will see the starter in the center of the engine,

its under the intake manifold, good look replacing, luckily i have had to replace on on any of my 3 aurora's that i've owned, knock on wood.

is it blowing a 40 or 60 amp maxi-fuse located on the passenger side front area of the engine compartment located in the fuse panel? If so i believe 95-96 had the wiring for the fans to close to the exhaust manifold causing the insulation on the wiring to melt which in my case resulted in a dead short off and on blowing the fuse.

maybe the fuel pressure regulator bleeding down while parked. Take a fuel pressure tester and hook it up, cycle key to gain optimal fuel pressure, turn key off and monitor fuel pressure. It should hold at around 20 psi.
