With what you have already invested you would probably be wise to bite the bullet and have a Volvo dealer check and properly set the "live settings" (cam settings) for both intake and exhaust. Make sure the belt swap was done correctly.

Replaced the front O 2 sensor (oxygen sensor) and now I want to go ahead and replace the back one also which I believe is the problem but the owner before me just replaced the timing belt and I was told they did not set the timing exact which i was wanting them to correct this which might add also to the problem mentioned also I've learned the timing off is effecting also my firing of my spark plugs

The best thing is to go to your local Volvo maintenance shop or Volvo experts to find out whats the problem..usually the coomon ones I think is the programs inside its ECU unit..you try this..ask the volvo experts to reset the ECU and lets see..if problem arise then it is no doubt you might need the sensor..hope this help..

It's the solinoid. It's placed alongside the distributor. A coil about 1" around, and 2" long loosen, disconect the cable and lead coming out of it, repalce, and it will run fine then.

Timing gears and what they look like correctly aligned on a 2000 volvo s40 1.9 L turbo

The pic I found is not very clear. There must be arrows on the sprockets, right? They go straight up with respect to the engine. The crank sprocket looks like it has cuts on 2 adjacent teeth that go straight up for TDC. Does this make sense?

2000 Volvo S80 T6 scanner code P0237

Actually I believe the code has something to do with fuel.. the P0237 means Powertrain (P), the 0 means its a common code throughout all vehicles not manufactur specific and the 2 means Fuel , the 37 is the specific code and says the problem usually that i dont know off hand but if theres like a lack of power or you know this is creating a misfire i would start out by checkin fuel pressure [pressure, pump, rails] and then fuel delievery [injectors].

hope that gets you started or an idea maybe

ps a turbo is something you usually install yourself so the car shouldnt be equipped with a turbo sensor...i dont think that exists

Volvo 1998 v70 tdi loss of power and a lot of black smoke lamda fuel light has been on since timming belts replaced been told its the turbo pump runnig at half is this possible and where is the turbo pump...

I don't know about the turbo running at half, but I can give you two ideas.

If it only started after the timing belt was replaced there is a very good chance that the timing is off. The car has very specific instructions due to the variable valve timing.

There is also a chance that there is a hole in one of the turbo hoses. One way to check for a leaking turbo hose is to put the car in reverse and set the parking brake. have someone listen for a large air leak while you power stall the engine. if there is a leak it will make a lot of noise and you can feel for it with your hand, just don't burn yourself.

DO NOT POWERSTALL THE ENGINE MORE THAT THIRTY SECONDS AT A TIME AND NO MORE THAN TWICE. IT WILL GET VERY HOT VERY QUICKLY.

DO NOT SHUT OFF THE ENGINE RIGHT AFTER POWERSTALLING. THERE IS TO MUCH HEAT AND COULD CAUSE DAMAGE. LET THE ENGINE IDLE FOR THREE MINUTES AND IT WILL BE FINE.

I hope this helps
