It is probably a problem with the Anti-theft system. There are countless posts on FixYa with the same problem. Chrysler dealer indicates that locking and unlocking the doors three times with the remote will reset, however this did not work in my case.

There is a fuse in the under hood fuse box that will do that. its 20 amp start/fuel pump.

Hope you got a good deal on that oil change. do you believe in coincidence. I can't imagine how an oil change could do anything to stop the engine from starting. So you have to rule out things like starter and fuel pump. to check the fuel pump go to a parts store and buy a can of starter fluid. Remove the top pf the air cleaner box. Have someone spray starter fluid into the opening going to the engine while you are trying to start the motor. If it fires up the pump is bad if not go on to the starter. For the starter locate the relay under the hood (in a fuse box) labeled for the starter. Remove it. Then run a wire from the positive terminal of the battery (careful not to ground to car) and touch where the relay plugged in. One of the points should kick the starter over. If none of them do i would suspect the starter. if all is ok the next possible suspect is the computer. You will need a dealer for this one but some computers have extended warranties because of problems so ask the dealer about it. I just had one replaced for a customer last summer on a 2001 Chrysler T&C and it was covered under warranty. Whole visit was around $200 If this helps please reply and good luck

Sounds like you damaged the engine by running it without oil. Sorry but you probably need a new engine.

Knocking in engine

check the oil...even the radiator might be out of water...of course, check it when the engine temperature is cool...you do not want to open a hot radiator. Also, it these fluids are o.k., it might need an oil change...your pistons might be getting stuck due to a need of an oil change. Also, with a 2001 model, you might want to up your gasoline to MID instead of REGULAR. Regular is cheaper, hence, it is what you get.

My 2001 sebring wont start. I turn the key and it

you could very have a transponder key that has failed to let the circuit complete to start the car. check that with your local locksmith. also try to unlock your doors manually with key , on the driver side and turn to unlock at least three times, i know it sounds stupid but your car has a passive alarm built in that will prohibit it from starting sometimes because it was designed so well.:) good luck.
