Passenger door latch does not open from out side

sounds like you have 2 differant issues! but maybe one cause first the passenger door latch has failed or the wiring to it as gone open circuit poss inside the door wiring grommet because its got a double locking system so to unlock the passenger doors and boot you normally have to press the unlock button twice so perhaps the locking module is confused sort out the passenger latch first it then it should return to normal operation good luck

First, try going through the passenger side and using the inside handle. if not, get it open by using a slim jim.

lube the latch up...
go to the passengers side and examine the latch... you could use a screwdriver and OPEN the latch on the drivers' door by pulling the door handle and prying the latch to the open possition... and try to close it ... repeate.

first open door and spray wd40 on latch to see if its stuck if not the latch on inside of door is bad but they really dont't go bad that often so just see if its stuck

On the passenger door,make sure the latch isn't in the closed position(have someone pull on the handle while pulling the latch mechanism with a screwdriver)The drivers side is gonna be interesting.You might be able to get at the door latch mechanism by rolling the window all the way down,and use a coathanger or similar tool to operate the linkage levers that way.

If the outside Latch is working then the release bar attached to the interior latch has become disconnected. You will need to open up the door panel and see if the bar has just fallen off or if the latch has broken and needs replaced. If you need an example to look at either get the Haynes repair manual on the vehicle or open the passenger door up as well and compare the two sides.

sounds like lock bar has been knocked off normally happens when someone tries to slimjim the locks

There is no "switch". The Sliding Doors should be manual anytime you try to open or close them. If not: then there is problem in the electronic system or the physical/mechanical side where something is jamming the door from opening or closing.

simply go through your fold down seats threw the trunk provided you cant get in from passenger door.

you can try to spray latch ***. wd-40and work it in other than that ,replace latch ***
