Disconnect the battery, Jack the rear up on stable jack stands. use a smaller jack with a piece of wood to stable the load under the tank. You will see 2 band straps under the tank, remove the bolts, only 1 side have bolts, the other side swings down. The hose from the gas cap will have to be disconnected, which can be !!!!! when in-stalling. you can then drop the gas tank down easily with the jack just a bit, enough to reach around to unplug the fuel pump plug, and the gas lines. Once it's removed, the pump has a big screw on ring, take it off and the fuel pump can be pulled out.
Testimonial: "great,thank you"
Hello. Your fuel pump is located in the tank. In order to replace it you must first drain ALL fuel from the tank if possible, try HARD. The fuel adds weight to the tank during removal, and creates a danger of fire/etc. After this, remove the banding under the tank by loosing the bolts holding it in place. Drop the tank, disconnect the wires and remove it from under the car. The pump is held in place with small screws that surround the pump. Remove these and the gasket under the pump flange. Reverse order to replace the tank. I hope this helps you. Good Luck, be careful, and thank you for trusting FixYa to help get you going!

CAUTION
If the vehicle is equipped with the Multi-Point Fuel Injection, perform the fuel system pressure release sequence described earlier in this section.
CAUTION
Wrap heavy shop towels around disconnected fuel lines to absorb spilled fuel. Be prepared to catch any fuel that is not absorbed!
