Mitsubishi Eclipse 1995 no start, but cranks

I have a 1995 Mitsubishi eclipse rs with 2.0 240A engine.
It will turn over like a champ but will not start. Ive checked the fuel pressure (43 psi), the distributor, the coil pack, the timing, and the oil levels and the oil pressure sensor. Any other ideas?

No back-firing or anything like that. Double check firing order and how about your plugs/in good shape? How old is the plug wiring? Does the Eclipse have cam senors? If so, I would check them.

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I was driving and it went dead. It will turn over but won't crank?

'Turning over' _is_ 'Cranking'! Yours is cranking, but not firing or starting.

Fuse 9? You need an auto electrician to find the short.

I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Rs and it will trun over but will not start

Is it a strong crank? If it is a weak crank it could be your battery doesn't have enough juice. If not that it could also be starter. If neither of those check spark, fuel and pressure in that order from easiest to biggest Pain in the neck.

My 1995 eclipse turns over but doesnt start

If it turns over the starter is not the issue. Could be cam ,crank sensor or even fuel pump

1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.0 non-turbo DOHC engine vin y. Car stalled and turns over but will not start. Towed to repair shop and at first they said it was a defective cam or crank sensor, but now they say...

don't get the "Cardone ECC model 793013" . i just check it out and when you click on the " See all vehicles this product fits " link, it shows this:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the problem with it is that the '97 PCM will not work on a '98. the pinouts on them are slightly different. The only 2 years that are interchangable are the 98 and 99 year models.
The part number for the correct one is 5293190AC.

If you get a remanned PCM that needs progamming, anyone or any shop with the correct programming tool can do it.

  • PCM (ECU) REPROGRAMMING

1995~1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS & GS with 2.0L non-turbo engine (Chrysler 420A engine) ECUs have been equipped with reprogrammable processors since 1995.
To reprogram Mitsubishi vehicles, you must use one of two different reprogramming tools. For the 1995~1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS & GS (with Chrysler 420A engine), you must use a Chrysler Flash Reprogramming Unit, MIT992000-A . Click here to order one from SPX, or call them at 1-800-533-5338.
----------------------------------

I would suggest just buying a used (98 or 99)PCM. Then all you have to do is unplug the old one, take out 3 bolts to remove the bracket/PCM, pull it out, 3more bolts to remove the ecu from the bracket and bolt the new one in place. Its about a 5 min. job.

I have a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse, 4 cylinder, 2.0 non-turbo. The car will crank but there is no spark and we are not getting any gas. We've checked all of the fuses and the relays. Do you have any...

if you haven't checked the ASD relay, make sure its working.
175c874.jpg if thats okay, check the Cam Angle and Crank Angle sensors. if it isn't any of those, its probably the ECU
