The A/C in my Cadillac escalade doesnt blow cold and when i turn it to max it turns off completly

Look about the drivers seat and you will see a small round grill, it is the interior temp sensor. This might be your problem.

Check behind heater control for vacume leak to actuator or use a vac. pump on the actuator to see a difference.

check fuel pressure may your fuel pump start to go down.

Could be blower and/or resistor. Sometimes the harness will be melted. If so replace the module and harness. Have the amp draw checked on the motor. no more than 20 amps.

you should check the fuse panel for a bad fuse you have two fuse panels check your manual for the location of the panels there is one for the instrument light

i have the same problem, my rear a/c blows great very cold, the front a/c blows but it is not cold at all. I had the the a/c seviced and it was vacumed and correct ammount put back in, no problems, the front still blows but it is not cold, i have checked everything and the a/c guy said it might be the door not opening. any help? still not working

One of the temperature actuators are not working it has 2, one for each side.

you could have a leaking hose a bad water pump or a bad heater core...its going to be one of those things,,,

Try blowing ou tthe heat exchanger with compressed air. Make sure it's cool b4 removing hoses..

I had the same problem. Took it to an AC guy and they told me it was going to cost $1,400 to replace all kinds of parts. I didn't get it done right away because I went on vacation. When I got back from vacation the air blows cold. It hasn't gone back to blowing hot since.
