My TCS indicator light (exclamation point inside a triangle) comes on and stays on randomly when I start my 2004 Honda Accord. It's happened three times in the last six weeks. When I turn the ignition off and restart it doesn't remain on. The owners manual says that light could be telling you that you've turned off the TCS. If I turned it off I have no idea how. Where is the TCS so I can check to see if I've turned it off?
Some markets have a button on the dash with tcs/abs and a dash light saying "tcs off".if your car has not got the button then you cant turn it off(germany yes.uk no)abs/tcs should only be turned off in deep snow, otherwise best left alone, unless you have been taught how to drive with/without.....(on ice you wants the wheels to turn,on snow you want the snow to wedge to slow you down......)see what i mean???
Whenever
this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating
that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must
now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and
"scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the
problem(s)
