Often on the vans with rear air the air dor acuator goed bad and can no longer switch from hot to cold. also the swich itself will often go bad. this can be caused by sticky fingers damaging the inside of the switch. sometimes a good cleaning in warm water will fix a sticky switch

Testimonial: "Very good advice, got to the part and flipped it and now works. Thanks a BUNCH!!!"

My gmc yukon 2000 slt rear ac blows hot air when i have ac . on and the front works fine .

I have a 2000 GMC Savana Van SLT with front and rear AC/Heat. My front would blow hot while the rear blew cold with AC on. It turned out to be low on Freon. It's hard to know if you have the right amount of freon installed because pressures vary depending on the ambient temperatures. So the best way is to remove all the freon then reinstall the recommended amount as listed on the evaporator housing near the firewall. This worked fine for me... works like new after installing the correct amount of freon.

2001 Venture - blows hot air all the time

Sounds like one of the blend doors under the dash is not moving.

Front a/c blows cold air but back is blowing hot air

Could be low on freon, a faulty expansion valve on the rear system, or other issues. Can you tell if the rear ac lines are hot and cold ?

Chevy venture van passenger side AC blows cold, driver's side blows warm to hot

Usually a blend door problem, either the control or the blend door itself.

I have a chevy venture 1998. I put freon 134a in the low valve near the radiator in the front of the van. It blows cold air in the back of the van but not in the front. Is there another valve to put freon...

No ,there is not another valve . One low side service port an one high side service port . An only one A/C compressor . Under the hood in the engine compartment there are A/C lines going into the firewall . These go to the front Evaparator unit . With the vehicle running an A/C on do this line's (pipes) get cold ? If yes , your problem is probably the temp. actuator . Control's how hot or cold the air coming from the vent's get . If stuck half way , hot an cold air combine to make warm air . Replacing some of these actuators can require the dash to be removed . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop .

A/c is not blowing cold air in front but air is cool in the rear.

Hey M, the pressure could be nothing but "hot air" and not freon... (I had this same problem!!) I let off a bunch of pressure..(nothing but clear hot air!!) ..using a small flat punch..on the low pressure side... if freon on comes out right away..stop.. if nothing but hot air comes out.. keep letting it out until freon comes out,,, When mine started letting out freon,, I quit and tried the A/C again... and it has been working fine since.. Just my recent experience!!!!

2000 Chevy Venture, rear doesn't blow cool/cold air

check the vacume / or the vacume regulator for the door exchange from hot to cold there might be a vacume problem.

Rear air is blowing hot on the floor and the ceiling is not blowing at all. the AC works fine up front.

could be the lever mechanism or a vacuum line cracked or undone hmm plugged or would need to remove and follow the venting system up and as well as the levers under the dash
