I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say your catalytic convertor is damaged. Do not drive this car. A damaged convertor can ruin your engine or catch on fire.

2013 avalanche 5.3 cold start engine revs up and down sometimes will not start until wide open throttle

Is the truck a E85 flex fuel vehicle? Not wanting to start sometimes until you give it wide open throttle means it's getting too much fuel, wide open throttle cuts fuel injectors fuel delivery.
Clear Flood Mode
If the engine floods, clear the engine by pressing the accelerator pedal down to the floor and then crank the engine. When the TP sensor is at wide open throttle (WOT), the ECM reduces the fuel injector pulse width in order to increase the air to fuel ratio. The ECM holds this injector rate as long as the throttle stays wide open, and the engine speed is below a predetermined RPM. If the throttle is not held wide open, the ECM returns to the starting mode.

Do you have a scan tool that can look at live data, fuel trims? Is the ECM adding fuel or taking fuel away. Mass air flow sensor data etc... Flex fuel calibrations may need to be reset .

Will "bogg" down under depressed acceleration and lower RPM's. Wondering if you have any suggestions? See below for what I've done already.

Raw fuel from the tail pipe I would think maybe a bad TPS, fuel pressure regulator or injector. More than likely a bad regulator or throttle position sensor. Check your fuel pressure after the regulator at idle and wide open throttle. At an idle the pressure should be 20-30 psi lower than at wide open throttle. If your getting to much fuel pressure it can cause it to bog down and lose power due to extremely rich conditions. Will also have strong exhaust fumes.

How do i fix... wrench light ford fusion 2006

You never need to top off fluids

If you do- you have a leak to be repaired

Check the vehicles systems for codes,
then google those codes to see the problem

TYPE: OBD & your code

It is going into ETC Failsafe or something

Do not use it at all,you may have converter ruining
cylinder misfires, from bad ignition coils

You add NO WATER to any vehicle

Distilled water & coolant only

Loss of power, stalling at stops and slows, codes P0300, P0107, P0105 and P0105. Will stall but when put into nuetral will start right up.

The symptoms and the codes you've given would indicate to me that you have a vacuum leak. Look for a loose a throttle body, loose, missing or damaged hoses, loose or missing intake manifold bolts or any other opening in the intake manifold.

There can be a misfire too from the cylinders.

An engine that hesitates, stumbles or misfires when accelerating or when it is under load is an engine that is either sucking too much air, not getting enough fuel or misfiring. If the Check Engine Light comes on, you may find any of the following codes:

• P0171, P0174 Lean fuel condition codes
• P0120 to P0124 Throttle position sensor codes
• P0222 to P0229 Throttle position sensor codes
• P0400 to P0409 EGR related codes

If there are no misfire codes, a common cause of acceleration stumble is a bad throttle position sensor (TPS). The TPS tells the computer how far the throttle is open. The computer uses this information to determine how much fuel is needed to maintain the correct air/fuel mixture and when extra fuel is needed if the throttle suddenly opens wide.

Another common cause is dirty fuel injectors. If varnish deposits have built up in the tips of the injectors, they won’t spray as much fuel as they normally do, or will “dribble” fuel instead of spraying a fine mist. This creates a lean fuel mixture and conditions that are ripe for stumble and hesitation (also misfire). Look at short term fuel trim (STFT) and long term fuel trim (LTFT) with your scantool. If the numbers are high, it tells you the engine is running lean and the injectors need cleaning. Treat mild cases with a high quality fuel-injector cleaner additive. Severe cases require professional cleaning equipment.

Also if this sensors apply to your vehicle, camshaft sensor or crankshaft sensor if sensors bad you don't get any spark. Also run a scan on the car.

Good luck and rate this solution, please.
