The first thing to check would be to locate the brake light switch, this is located on the brake pedal bracket, follow the brake pedal up and you will see the switch, next use a test light and test for power at connector for switch,do not remove connector from switch, turn key on and test. One wire will have power and then when pedal is pushed power should also be on next wire, if there is no power at wires then check for blown fuse. if you have power on one wire but no power on next wire with pedal pushed then replace brake switch.
some nissans have a rubber plug on the metal part of the brake pedal look under the dash where the the pedal arm meets the brake light switch if there is a hole ther the plug has fallen out to make sure find the brake switch and manually push the plunger on the switch in have an assitant see if the brake lights go off if they do you will need to replace the rubber insert there will be a hole in the brake pedal arm where it goes
I would think that the brake switch which is connected to the brake pedal might be damaged, causing it to always have contact. They are usually not very expensive. Please rate this if it helps. Thanks.
on you brake pedal, there is a switch, that switch is what turns your brake lights on and off. Must be stuck in "on" position. This is a common problem for the brake light NOT to come on, but I suppose the reverse could also be true. Check this switch, unplug it and see if your lights go off. If they do the switch is to blame. See if you can "oil" up the switch or clean it. You would be supprise at how much dust and debris can jam those switches.
