Need firing order for 1996 dodge dakota 3.9 V-6

3 9 liter V6 Chrysler firing order Ricks Free Auto Repair Advice

I was surprised to find Dodge still using a distributor on this engine.
The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 and the cylinders on the driver side are 1-3-5-7.

1-6-5-4-3-2

As with all Dodge V8 truck engines, the firing order for 5.2 L is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

If its a v6 its 1, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2......If its a 4 cylinder its 1, 4, 3, 2.

For the 1987 Dodge Dakota 3.9L:

Firing Order:
1 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2

Firing order 1-6-5-4-3-2
Distributor rotor turn's clock wise

Cylinder's 1-3-5 on drivers side
Cylinder's 2-4-6 on passenger side

For all Dodge V8 truck engines, the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. For all Dodge V6 truck engines, the firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2. For Dodge inline 6 cylinder engines, the firing order is For all Dodge 4 cylinder engines, the firing order is 1-3-4-2 All dodge distributors rotate clockwise.


look at your distributor cap while standing on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Start at number 1, which is labelled on the cap, and go
clockwise
