1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Rear Passenger Window would go down but would not go up. I removed the door panel and there was no sound or movement from the motor. Attempted: slamming of the door and tapping the motor.
So I replaced the motor. It still will not go up. The only sound/movement from the motor is when the window is going down.
Could be the switch one side not working test with meter

You need to remove all the skrews from the door. Normaly there is one in the handle of the door, one behind the in door lach handel and one under the bump out for the arm rest on the door. Than you need to take a flat head skrew driver slowly priying the panel off. There are plastic clips on the backside of the panel it is ok if you brake a few.

There is a button above the license plate you have to push up on it make sure the door locks are unlocked.
