How do you remove the fuel pump on a 1990 Chevy Lumina APV?

The fuel pump is in the gas tank. Drive off or siphon out as much gas as you can. You will need to remove the filler hose. Drop the tank and remove the fuel lines on the top of the tank, Turn the ring counter clock wise that holds the siphon and pump in. Once the ring is loose, lift the the siphon and pump assembly out of the tank. The pump is on the bottom of the siphon. Replace, then reverse the process.

I put petrol in a 2.5 liter desil turbo delica mitsi van 95 wat do i do to fix it

drain gas tank, fuel lines. replace fuel filter. refill gas tank with diesel. bleed fuel lines and fill fuel filter with clean diesel.

For 1990 Chevrolet Truck Lumina Van 3.1L TBI 6cyl the Fuel Filter is located: Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, front of fuel tank, mounted on chassis in fuel line

have you checked the fuel filter .. also try loosening the gas cap .. maybe you have a vent lock

Fuel filter

At the rear of the car near the gas tank, you'll find the fuel filter. Simply unscrew it and screw on the new filter. Relieve the fuel pressure before removing the old filter. To do this, remove the gas cap and at the engine you'll find the schrader valve on the fuel rail, press it. The schrader valve is found on the fuel rail.

The easiest way is to bypass the relay for the fuel pump and disconect the fuel line at the fuel filter that is located under the car and hook it up to a hose and attach it to a gas can so you can save it and dispose of it

most vehicles only pump fuel when the motor is running as you have disconnected the fuel line, the motor won't start. The fuel pump only runs for a second or two before the engine starts. it will only pump about a cup of fuel with each turn of the key. best bet is to remove filler hose at tank and siphon it out from there bypassing the antisiphon devices.
